Remote, Vast, Untouched Fly fishing the North Seal

The North Seal River watershed is truly an unspoken jewel in the fly fishing world.

The first thought for many on fishing Northern Canada is fly fishing for Northern Pike. Catching Northern Pike on the fly is an amazing experience. They have no fear, they are relentless, they are hungry, and at the North Seal they get very BIG! But what sets the North Seal apart from so many other Canadian fisheries is its incredible quality and diversity. It is Canada’s finest watershed for pursuing the Canadian Grand Slam- big pike, lake trout, walleye, and Arctic grayling. These waters are among the most remote in North America – fly-in only, remote and pristine- and quality and quantity abound! Guests can truly target all four species on the fly all season long!

Once you experience this incredible fishery, you will be spoiled forever!

This place is a fly fishing mecca. Huge fish, all willing to take flies. Mostly sight fishing. Best trip I ever went on and I’ve been doing this 30 years.

The Last Remaining

Canadian Frontier

The North Seal river system is unlike any other.  Much more than just one great river, it is a unique spider web of  twelve river systems and over a hundred lakes, joined together, as this special Canadian Heritage River continues its progression eastward, eventually flowing into Hudson Bay.  It is accessible by fly-in only and Ganglers has the exclusive allocation.  It is an incredible treat for all anglers and for fly-fishermen, a paradise they never knew existed.

It’s the most magnificent lodge I’ve seen in Western Canada’s wilderness. The food is unbelievable, top-flight guides, and with many different lakes to fish. This is the best location I’ve seen for flyfishing for big pike

Seasonal Patterns

Our season opens at the beginning of June and closes in September. Fishing patterns are dictated by water temperatures which gradually warm as the summer progresses and then begin to decline as September approaches with fall weather.
