The Ultimate Christmas Gift

Welcome to one of the most magnificent, amazing, breathtaking Christmas gifts you could ever imagine. This will rank as one of the greatest experiences you have ever enjoyed and a remarkable experience for couples and families to enjoy together. We take our incredible 3 or 4-day August experience to Gangler’s filled with prime 5-star fishing and Sub-arctic tours and timed for the return of the spectacular Northern Lights. We then combine it with a visit to Churchill, Manitoba- only 200 miles away – the unique Arctic seaport on Hudson Bay world-famous for its polar bears and the summertime migration 60,000 Beluga whales into its harbor.  Take a boat tour, even kayak with the whales. You’ll realize you are in the extreme when the polar bear curfew sirens go off each night. Visitors travel from around the world to see Churchill in the summer.

Long-time Gangler’s guest Steve Movius decided his family of neophyte fishermen and explorers would love this trip. So, he bandied the group of six up- wife Beverly, sisters Dr. Amy, Marion, Helen, and brother-in-law, Don, for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure they will always cherish.

Here is the note from Steve:

Ken, thanks again for another great experience at Gangler’s.  I took a different approach in 2022 as I brought along five family members, including my wife and three sisters, who were all fishing novices.  I also decided to add on the Churchill excursion.

The fishing was great as usual.  My family caught countless fish including 10-15 Masters.  We caught and released three trout 40” with Helen landing a 41-inch Laker. Bev landed a 43-inch pike and we slayed the walleyes.  Not bad for rookies.  I caught another 10-15 Masters myself.

The Churchill excursion was incredible.  When we got to Churchill we went for a short walk to the shore and noticed something in the water.  We quickly realized there were Beluga whales everywhere.  We took a few tours, and the highlight was taking a Zodiac out to see the whales.  Beluga whales are curious and fun loving, and we had a pod of 8-10 come right up to our Zodiac and “show-off” for 5-10 minutes.  They were so close I could have touched them a couple of times.  While we didn’t take the Beluga kayak tour, we heard it was crazy good as well.

Thanks again for another wonderful time for me and my family.  See you again in July 2023.
