Season Update July 25
A delayed report because we have been SO BUSY !
The season is going great, with our guests are enjoying exceptional catches and experiences. Temps have varied between cool and warm with some temps in the 80s. The water levels are rescinding to normal healthy levels. Thankfully, the high water did not affect the weed growth and we have scores of big cabbage beds now emerging on most of the lakes. The main lodge is doing fantastic and we are pleased to announce we have reopened the last of our fly-out lakes shutdown since 2019. The initial fishing results have been amazing. Lots of great pike action with big pike, good lakers and absolutely incredible walleye fishing with some 150-300 fish per boat days.
At the outposts, we have been blessed with great managers this year- Cory at Bain, Ryan at Stevens, Erin and Bobby at Maria, Calem at Burnie and Vincent at Clifton- all have been praised with rave reviews from our guests. Our pilots Tyler on the Astar helicopter and Jeremy on the Beaver have been fantastic. We have received nothing but compliments on the helicopter flyouts and Tyler knows how to create an outstanding and unique experience. The Astar’s efficiency simply can’t be matched by any floatplane.
Last but not least, our Calm Air ATR 72 service DIRECT from Winnipeg has cut air travel to the lodge to 2 hrs. and 15 min.
Another exceptional season happening at Ganglers and lots of great stories to share in the coming months !
