Gangler’s Clifton Lake outpost is the quintessential classic Canadian outpost. A single beautiful cabin in a picturesque setting, on a classic Canadian lake that offers absolutely unbelievable angling.
It has a great mix of every type of water and structure imaginable, and it also offers access to Wilke Lake, a large lake on the Johnson River system. The countryside is gorgeous, park-like, with a large sand esker running through the middle of the lake and an abundance of wildlife.

The Clifton Lake Outpost is a 3-star accommodation that features two large bedrooms with two sets of bunks each, hotel mattresses, a modern bathroom and a spacious dining area. Bedding is provided. Capacity is four to six people.
Food is included. There is a BBQ grill and stove available. Cooking and guiding are available for an extra fee.
Dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice.
Satellite phone and free Internet service on site.
Guests will enjoy fishing in custom 14’ and 16’ boats with 20 hp Yamaha outboards and depth finders . A camp manager is on-site.
Laundry facilities are available.
Guests will also enjoy 24-hour electricity, a screened-in porch, an outdoor grill, stoves, an ice machine, and coolers.

The Clifton Outpost cabin has two bedrooms that can each host 4 guests. The bathroom in the cabin is equipped with full capable plumbing.
The cabin offers a spacious dinning area next to a modern kitchen. The kitchen comes fully stocked with a variety of meats, produce, & grains.

Clifton is a large lake fed by both the Laurilla and Johnson River systems, major waterways into the North Seal. It offers sensational fishing for the Canadian Grand Slam – big pike, lake trout, walleyes, and Arctic grayling. A popular day fly-out from the main lodge, Clifton has produced grayling to 22″, lakers to 42″, walleye averaging 20-26″ with the largest a 32″, and sensational pike with fish over 55” hooked and lost.
Average size is 5-10 lbs. and numbers can easily exceed over 100 a day per boat
Trophies ranging from 35-42″, and monsters up to 46”.
Incredibly consistent with great numbers and average lengths 20-24″ with girths to match.
The outflow of the Johnson River features incredible grayling fishing with numbers and size exceeding 22”.
There is the occasional trophy whitefish or burbot.
The Lindners and In-Fishermen took a mind-boggling 5 hours of footage on their first visit to Clifton. They felt it is possibly one of the finest walleye fisheries in North America and considered for filming when doing their instructional series for Normark/Rapala.
