Burnie Lake, is a pike mecca, known for the ferocious trophy Pike that swarm its waters. It also offers a great second option, Long Lake, an 18 mile-long section of the North Seal River that features all four species — huge pike, trout, walleye, and arctic grayling — in unbelievable quantities. A portage allows good access to Long Lake where you can also access a rustic overnight cabin. Both lakes are distinct and special, offering the best of the North Seal fishery.

The Burnie Lake Outpost is a 4-star accommodation that features two 4-6 person cabins, each featuring/ living areas, two separate bedrooms with hotel style beds, two fully modern bathrooms, and a complete kitchenette.
Food is included. There are BBQ grills, propane stove and an electric refrigerator onsite. Cooking and guiding are available for an extra fee.
Dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice. Special items can be ordered.
Satellite phone and free Internet service on site.
Guests will enjoy fishing in custom 16’ boats with seats, 20 hp Yamaha outboards, depth finders, and casting decks. Guests have the option to portage to Long Lake with two boats, motors and gas on-site. A camp manager is at Burnie.
Laundry facilities are available.
Guests will also enjoy 24-hour electricity, a screened-in porch, outdoor grills, stoves, an ice machine, and coolers.

Each Cabin is equipped with a spacious dinning area & modern kitchen. Kitchens come fully stocked with a variety of meats, produce, & grains.

Known for its ferocious trophy Pike! Size and quantity abound here and you will be amazed at how many pike haunt its waters. Burnie also has a population of unexplored lake trout.
This 18 mile long stretch of the North Seal is a snapshot of the incredible angling quality and diversity the system is known for. Phenomenal fishing for all species, big pike, walleye, lake trout, and arctic grayling. The laker and grayling fishery is an unexplored dynamic with rumors of 90’ depths, and 40 lb. lakers. Overnight stay available.
Average size is 5-12 lbs. and numbers can easily exceed over 100 a day per boat.
Trophies ranging from 35-42″, and some real monsters up to 49″ (that’s a 50 lb. lake trout)!
Average 20-24″ in length with girths to match. The record catch for one boat in one day was 408 fish.
The largest grayling ever caught here was 24″ and 14-18″ fish are the norm.
