A Fantastic Return to the North Seal!

Our opening was a tad late but, as anticipated – spectacular! After two years of closure and a token opening last fall, Gangler’s North Seal River Lodge welcomed back our opening group of avid anglers. Their anticipation was exciting as the famed North Seal angling delivered, red-hot with great action and a plethora of trophy fish.

One regular Gangler’s guest is Dr. John Tanner and good friend Scotty Huckstadt. We won’t go into their entire angling experience- we will save that for another juicy emailing – but rest assured it was amazing! They started their first day behind the lodge in Runway Bay where they took a 45” pike. The next day a 45, 43, 4- 41s, 2- 40s. Multiple 38s and 39s, they lost count. A dozen more plus 35”. The third day, a 46”, 45”, 43” 2- 42”, and a 41”. They said “big fish were everywhere!” John fishes a lot and Gangler’s is his favorite place in the world!

The opening week featured enough great stories to fill several eletters and we will continue to tease you with them. While big pike are the most sought-after quarry, guests have been enjoying catching big lakers, nice walleye, and some really big grayling. The Canadian Grand Slam at Gangler’s never disappoints.

Guests are also raving at the many changes we made at North Seal River Lodge during our shutdown. Seeing is believing and it is truly among the most beautiful, classic lodges in North America.
