Great Time at Gangler’s
Mat Thompson was a member of Dave Berry’s party of 5. Delayed two years by Covid, they finally arrived at Gangler’s North Seal River Lodge on Aug. 1. The group primarily fly-fished and concentrated their efforts exclusively on the main lake, Egenolf. They enjoyed some exceptional fly-fishing for pike in the weed beds with several trophies landed and released. They also took advantage of our lake trout fishing on conventional tackle. The added bonus was great nightly entertainment, provided by Mat and friend Tom Berry, as adept on the guitars and singing as they are on the long rods. It was a blast as they were joined often by the lodge’s resident bass player. Just a great experience for all – guests and staff !
“Ken,
Hope you have been well and winding up the fishing season. We really enjoyed our visit to Gangler’s. The fishing and staff were great and it was just a really special time for me.
I’ve attached a few pictures of our adventure up there.
Also really enjoyed playing music with you. Hopefully we can make that happen again!
