2016 Orvis Rendezvous

I am now back from the 2016 Orvis Guide Rendezvous in Missoula, Montana. Ganglers and 157 other Orvis endorsed lodge, fly shop, and guide operations were there to see the latest tackle and innovations from Orvis, new programs designed to benefit traveling fishermen like you and hear Orvis’s efforts in promoting and assisting worldwide conservation efforts. Way too much for this blog but we can say the meeting was exhilarating and left me and others excited about the future of fly-fishing and the outdoors we all love. I have been fortunate over my career to meet a lot of great people in this sport and left very impressed. The Orvis staff and its owners, the Perkins family, were always in the thick of things and truly should be commended on their continued efforts in behalf of the sport and conservation. These people are the real deal, they live it, they love it !
