HISTORIC CHURCHILL AND BELUGA WHALE ADVENTURE

For those looking to further their Northern Manitoba experience with Ganglers, we have come up with the perfect adventure. We are pleased to announce along with our partner, Great Canadian Travel, we have put together the Ultimate Northern Manitoba Experience. Beginning in mid July, guests of North Seal River Lodge will be able to combine an optional side trip to Churchill, Manitoba, the unique seaport and ecosystem on Hudson Bay with their 4 day excursion to Gangler’s. This 3-4 day trip coincides with the annual migration of the famed Beluga whales, as they flood into the harbor. The migration has been estimated at over 57,000 whales. The whales are calving at this time of the year and you may see the females with their new-born calves. Guests will enjoy a mix of land and sea tours including tours of this historic port along with Zodiac or boat adventures on the bay with the whales ( activities vary per Churchill package). Space is limited to 8 guests per time slot so do not hesitate. This trip can be customized to include adventures such as snorkeling with the whales and a trip to see the Polar bears as they begin their move from their denning areas. An amazing trip for couples and families at a great price.church2

The trip to see the belugas was such a highlight!

“At the Lodge, we LOVED the fishing. The guides know their native waters and fishery. They made shore lunches for us of fresh caught walleye that makes my mouth water thinking about. At the Main Lodge, the meals and setting were a joy! We took the opportunity to do an eco-drive along the top of an esker one afternoon, to get a view of the taiga and look for wildlife. It’s always a wonder to me how much goes into providing an operation like Ganglers, when everything must be flown in.
”

“Our last stop was a side trip to Churchill on the shores of Hudson Bay to see the beluga whale migration and take a tundra tour to look for polar bears. The trip to see the belugas was such a highlight! Many females had light gray babies with them and listening to all their whale”songs” will be remembered forever.
We traveled back home from Winnipeg taking the images of a trip of a lifetime with us. “

Linda Heller and Bob Clouser

“I can’t imagine coming this far North and not taking advantage of the opportunity to explore the uniquely austere town of Churchill, full of wildlife and the most charming people.

The Churchill portion was vastly different from our fishing days and completed the family vacation with unparalleled memories.”

Sincerely,
Eugenia King
