800 fish in 2 Days at Clifton Lake.
A Unique Fishery, A Unique Outpost – The rustic outpost for the die-hard, adventure fisherman
Gangler's Clifton Lake Outpost camp embodies everything that is incredible about the North Seal River area. Clifton has great mix of every type of water and structure imaginable to this area and it has phenomenal waters teeming with the Canadian Grand Slam. The Johnson River feeds it from Wilke Lake, another one of the many healthy tributaries comprising the North Seal watershed. Clifton Lake has been featured on TV with…The In-Fisherman, North American Fishermen, and Cabela's, among others. When the In-Fisherman first filmed at the North Seal, they loved Clifton so much they recorded over 4 hours of film there. That is unheard of. Clifton is great for all four species but it must be one of the finest walleye lakes in North America. Thousands of walleye, averaging 20-26", and up to 34", are caught here annually. And those big pike (and our guests) love eating them. The best single day ever at Clifton was over 400 fish by one boat.
There is only one cabin located on Clifton Lake so it is ideal for a group of avid anglers who desire adventure, privacy and most of all, excellent fishing. Some of that adventure may include occasional visits from local Canadian wildlife! Enjoy the entire lake to yourself as well as attempting to catch 800 fish in 2 days!
Guest Ron Nandor has enjoyed many of Ganglers different outposts and he has enjoyed them all. He definitely has a soft spot for Clifton and his recent 2019 Gangler's fishing trip turned out remarkable.
Just a note of thanks for the great trip this year to Clifton. While the weather was a challenge most of the week, we actually did pretty well in the wet and cold. But when the sun finally came out Thursday and Friday, our group of 4 caught over 800 fish over the last two days. The pike simply flooded into the shallow bays and were sunning themselves ... my son Jeff and I were in a very small bay on Friday where we could look down and see 20-30 pike, average size in the mid 30's. Biggest we caught was this 44" in shallow water on plastics ... doesn't get much better than that.
We've been coming up for years now and have seen the odd bear ... this year, we had 3 separate encounters with bears. A black, a cinnamon, and a big blond with a brown face ... beautiful animals!!
Have a great summer!

Please Donate to help Abaco, Bahamas
The Ganglers creative team enjoyed an awesome visit to our good friend Oliver White's Abaco Lodge on Abaco Island, Bahamas last October. Great fishery, great lodge, and most importantly, great , friendly people. We are crushed watching the images of destruction the island has now experienced from Hurricane Dorian and waiting to hear word on the safety of the guides and staff and their families. Oliver has now created a GoFundMe page for fundraising efforts to help these people. Please take a minute to visit the site and assist these wonderful people. The site address is below. Either click on it or cut and paste into your browser.
Ganglers.com is now easier than ever to use on your computer, tablet and smart phone. Visit today and enjoy our new improved site. Watch our new movie on the home page.
